Welp…it looks like Super Bowl weekend got the best of Warren Sapp. This morning at around 7 am, the Pro Football Hall of Famer was arrested at the Renaissance Hotel in Phoenix on charges of soliciting and assaulting two prostitutes and was taken to jail. Sapp, who is now an analyst for the NFL Network, was in Phoenix to cover the Super Bowl and well, I guess you can say he ended up having a little too much fun.
According to ABC in Phoenix, Sapp brought two prostitutes back to his hotel and an altercation occurred when the two women were trying to get Sapp to pay up. Sapp then allegedly assaulted the girls and then they ran to a nearby police officer to report what happened.
Sapp has already admitted to the police that he solicited the prostitutes. If convicted, Sapp could face up to six months in prison. It was announced late this afternoon that he has been terminated by the NFL Network.
