Justice has finally been served in the vicious beating of a woman at the hands of former NFL pro Zac Stacy.
On Monday, Stacy was sentenced to six months in jail and one year of probation for the brutal assault against the mother of his child, Kristin Evans, on multiple occasions, per TMZ Sports. In August 2021, he reportedly attacked her after demanding rent money back that he’d given Evans. Then, Stacy was captured on film months later, in November 2021, throwing the woman into a television after beating her in the head. Their then 5-month-old son was present and seen in the video frame.
As part of his plea agreement, the felony battery charges were dropped. Instead, Stacy pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor domestic violence battery and two counts of misdemeanor criminal mischief. After the November 2021 beating, Stacy fled before police arrived at the Orlando home. He would later accuse Evans of staging the assault, even though it was caught on camera.
Stacy held a brief career in the NFL, appearing in just 35 games across three seasons between 2013 and 2015. He played for the St. Louis Rams and New York Jets before retiring in 2017 at age 25 due to injury. Stacy eventually played a brief stint in the Canadian Football League and the Alliance of American Football before seemingly hanging up his cleats for good.
In addition to his sentence, Stacy has been ordered to have no contact with Evans. It’s unclear when he will begin his sentence.
