It sill amazes me that in this day and age that people people are still drinking and driving, knowing the severity of such a thing. Unfortunately, drunk driving has added two more casualties to its list with former St. Louis Rams tight end, Phillip Lutzenkirchen, and his friend Joseph Ian Davis.
Both parties were intoxicated when they were involved in a single car accident that killed them both in Georgia on June 30th. Lutzenkirchen’s blood-alcohol level was 0.377 and Davis’ was 0.17, though the legal limit in Georgia is 0.08.
Davis was driving the Chevy Tahoe that overturned around 3am throwing Lutzenkirchen and another passenger named Elizabeth Craig from the vehicle. Davis was partially ejected from his seat. Passengers Elizabeth Craig and Christian Case survived the crash with various injuries.
This is a very sad situation for all involved.
