Three men and one woman were shot on an exit ramp of a Mobile, Alabama stadium during a high school football game.
The shooting happened at the Ladd-Peebles Sports and Entertainment Complex Friday night. According to Mobile Police Chief Paul Prine, the game between Williamson High School and Vigor Highschool “was stopped and has since ended.”
The victims were brought to area hospitals, and one of them was listed in critical condition. Two of the four victims were juveniles. CNN reports that authorities have not released the identities of the injured parties.
“The shots were fired on the west ramp,” Prine said. “It was not shot in the arena or in the football area where the stands were at, but it was here on the exit ramp coming out of the stadium.”Â
Officials believe that multiple individuals were involved in the incident, but it might have been only one shooter. At least four shell casings were recovered in the area, and up to seven shots may have been fired.Â
Witnesses saw at least two people flee in a white sedan.
According to the police, there is no ongoing threat to the public. So far, no arrests have been made.
