FOX Corporation has joined forces with the American Red Cross to gather donations for individuals affected by the wildfires in Hawaii.
Earlier this week, three wildfires ignited on Maui island and have subsequently burned through several communities. Hawaii Governor Josh Green confirmed the loss of at least 93 lives, with approximately 1,000 individuals still unaccounted for. He adds that the number of casualties could increase in the future.
Photographs reveal residences and various structures across the island reduced to ashes. While the complete assessment of the damages is pending, Governor Green emphasized that the expenses associated with the widespread destruction are anticipated to reach billions of dollars.
“It’s going to take a great deal of time to recover from this,” he said.
To provide support for the recovery, individuals can contribute by visiting the Red Cross website. Additionally, those willing to assist in the relief efforts can donate by sending a text with the message “HAWAII” to 90999, making a $10 donation. Complete terms and conditions are located at redcross.org/foxforward.
