Fran Drescher will be returning to television screens next month.
The actress, once known as the Nanny, will be coming back in a new comedy, ”Indebted.”
The show will feature Drescher and Steve Webber as Debbie and Stew, a couple who has been forced to move back in with their now-adult son and his family.
“They’re thinking, ‘Oh wow, the grandparents are gonna be here, and it’s gonna be so cool! No, no, no,” Drescher joked in an interview with ET. “It’s like having two extra kids come live with them.”
Drescher also revealed the character was made for her.
”The pilot script said, ‘This character, in every way, is a Fran Drescher type,” she said. “My manager actually called and said, ‘Well, what about Fran Drescher, and the casting people said, ‘We’ll have to get back to you.”
The show will premiere Thursday, Feb. 6 on NBC.
