On Thursday A Muslim extremist was arrested in France. The arrest follows the assailant’s brutal attack of multiple members inside of a French church. Three members of the Basilica of Notre-Dame in Nice have been pronounced dead.
Bomb disposal and armed anti-terror police units were sent to the crime scene. The terrorist, who is believed to have acted alone, is currently hospitalized after being shot by police. “He cried ‘Allah Akbar!’ over and over, even after he was injured,” said Nice Mayor Christian Estrosi.
The country had been attacked “by Islamic terrorists. If we are attacked, it is because of our values, our values of freedom, and our desires not to yield to terrorism. This is the highest level of security alert. We will be increasing the number of soldiers deployed to protect schools and religious sites from around 3,000 to 7,000.” French President Emmanuel Macron said.
As victim reports continue to come in authorities are unsure of the exact number of people wounded and or killed.

“It is a moment of pain, in a time of confusion. Terrorism and violence can never be accepted. Today’s attack has sown death in a place of love and consolation, like the house of the Lord. The Pope is informed of the situation and is close to the mourning Catholic community. He prays for the victims and their loved ones, so that the violence may cease, so that we may return to look upon ourselves as brothers and sisters and not as enemies, so that the beloved French people may react united to evil with good”.

“Our hearts are with the people of France. America stands with our oldest Ally in this fight. These Radical Islamic terrorist attacks must stop immediately. No country, France or otherwise can long put up with it.”
