Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR just dropped their highly anticipated joint album, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U ($$$4U for short), but not everyone is celebrating.
Rapper Freddie Gibbs is calling them out, accusing the duo of stealing his style.
Gibbs pointed out that $$$4U sounds a little too close to his 2022 album $oul $old $eparately, which he also shortens to $$$. He’s also got a bone to pick with the album’s artwork too. The back cover of $$$4U features cartoon bunnies, a detail Gibbs says is a rip-off from his longtime “Big Rabbit” mascot.
On Thursday, he took to X, writing, “Damn they even stole the rabbits too. I’m flattered.” He then retweeted fans who called out Drake and PND for allegedly biting his aesthetic.
Neither Drake nor PND have responded yet, but knowing Drake, it’s only a matter of time before he addresses the drama, maybe even in a song.
Damn they even stole the rabbits too. I’m flattered.
