During France’s highest-tier league basketball game on Tuesday between G League Ignite and Metropolitans, one basketball player, in particular, stole the show.
The game was meant to showcase the talent of two top players for the 2023 NBA Draft, Scoot Henderson and Victor Wembanyama.
However, a 34-year-old forward from Cayenne, French Guiana, had everyone’s attention with his last name.
Steeve Ho You Fat is in his second season with the Metros, averaging 3.2 points per game.
American fans were so excited when the announcer said his name during the game, “[Steeve] Ho You Fat with the three. Yes, I just said that. That is that man’s name. Don’t tweet at me. He’s just doing his job.”
Since then, the player has gone viral, with him chiming in on the jokes.
