While many men have fallen victim to the “Kardashian Curse,” French Montana claims he and Kanye West are the only ones to break the spell.
Back with his new record, “Alcatraz,” the Coke Boys founder proudly boasts of his and Ye’s ability to dodge the supposed series of misfortune that is said to come along with dating the wealthy group of sisters.
“I feel like Kanye through the car crash/Feel like Ye ’cause me, and Ye killed the curse from the Kardashians,” he raps. At this time, it is unclear what role French played in ending the vexation, nor why he gave himself that much credit to begin with, but let’s continue.
The “Kardashian Curse” has been the topic of many conversations throughout the years. It is a pop culture theory that suggests men tend to encounter hardship after or while dating affluent women. Several men are said to have been negatively affected by the curse, including former NBA player Lamar Odom, who battled addiction while married to Khloe Kardashian. Womanizer Tristan Thompson tends to get more media coverage regarding his ability to drag Khloe through the mud rather than his uneventful basketball career. His demented ways would’ve likely contributed to his reputation regardless of who he dates. Fans have also claimed that Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker is under the curse due to his recent poor performance on the court. He is currently dating model Kendall Jenner.
French Montana was smitten with Khloe during a year-long romance from 2013 to 2014. While his career did not suffer due to his relationship, it was rumored to be the source of a public falling out between Kim Kardashian and Trina. Allegedly, Khloe began dating French while he was dating the Miami rapper, a move co-signed by Kim. Several other occurrences such as these have been attributed to the purported curse.
Even Kanye West was said to be under the family’s spell during his marriage to Kim K. At the start of their romance, fans noticed a shift in his behavior, music, and life overall. Following their split, many believe he broke the hex by publicly challenging the Kardashians-Jenners and no longer serving as Kim’s stylist, which she even admits has affected her fashion choices.
