According to the official Twitter of Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton Banks), James Avery, the actor who played the beloved Uncle Phil has passed away. Alfonso tweeted “I’m deeply saddened to say that James Avery has passed away. He was a second father to me. I will miss him greatly.”Â
James Avery was 65 years old and is survived by his wife Barbara Avery. He had no children. Sad news. He will be deeply missed.
