Fridayy Reveals the Secrets Behind His Hits, Talks Future Collabs with SZA and Rihanna on The Baller Alert Show

Fridayy on The Baller Alert Show hosted by Ferrari Simmons & BT

On a recent episode of The Baller Alert Show, co-hosts Ferrari Simmons and BT sat down with the incredibly talented Fridayy to talk about his rise to stardom, his creative process, and what’s next for the rising artist. From sleepless nights in the studio to keeping the party vibe alive, Fridayy’s got a lot going on, and he shared all the juicy details.

As the show kicked off, Ferrari couldn’t help but joke about Fridayy’s weekend-long party streak. “Man, I was tired!” Fridayy admitted, saying he had been out all night before their interview. But even with the exhaustion, Fridayy stays focused on making hits.

Fridayy’s Signature Sound and “Bad In The Room”

BT and Ferrari wasted no time shouting out Fridayy’s new record “Bad In The Room”. The song, which has become a summer anthem, is a feel-good vibe that gets the ladies moving. When asked about the inspiration behind it, Fridayy said, “It was summer. I wanted something that just felt good, that the ladies could enjoy.” While he wasn’t talking about anyone specific, he knew he needed a track to match the season’s energy.

BT praised Fridayy for his unique sound, highlighting how recognizable his voice has become. “When you drop, people know it’s you,” Ferrari said. Fridayy agrees but reflects on how it wasn’t always this way. “Last year, people knew my voice before they knew me,” he shared, crediting his breakout features on DJ Khaled’s “God Did” and Lil Baby’s records for putting him on the map.

Price Going Up: Fridayy’s Tour Impact

As Fridayy’s fame grows, so does the demand for his performances. He admitted that after headlining his first tour eight months ago, his price went up. “When I went on my first tour, man, the price definitely changed,” he said. Touring across cities like London showed him the importance of international reach and why artists need to study the market to set the right price.

The Power of DJs and Stage Presence

One key topic in the conversation was the role of DJs in an artist’s career. Fridayy couldn’t stress enough how crucial his DJ, Bu, is to his live performances. “DJs run the whole movement, especially on stage,” Fridayy said, explaining how rehearsing together elevates the entire show experience. “We rehearse word for word, even the unreleased music.”

BT added that artists with tight relationships with their DJs always have better shows, a sentiment Fridayy fully agreed with. Their bond on stage is one of the reasons Fridayy’s performances stand out.

Motivation and Chasing Respect

With all his recent success, Ferrari asked Fridayy what keeps him motivated. “There’s a lot more out there I haven’t touched yet,” he responded. Fridayy explained that while he’s achieved much, there are markets and areas where he still feels he hasn’t gotten the respect he deserves. “There are places where I’m like, man, I still gotta get hotter over there,” he said, emphasizing the hunger that drives him to reach new audiences.

From Writing Hits to Future Collaborations

Fridayy is not just a performer but also a talented songwriter. However, he admits that nowadays, people want his voice on tracks more than his writing. “It’s more about features now,” he shared. Fridayy’s hooks are highly sought after, but when it comes to pricing, he says it’s more about the vibe and connection. “If I mess with you, I’ll just do it,” he explained, revealing that sometimes collaborations are about building relationships rather than cashing checks.

When it comes to future collaborations, Fridayy has his eyes set high. He wants to work with artists like SZA, Kanye West, and Rihanna. “Those are the big names I’m trying to connect with,” he said, giving fans a glimpse of what’s on his radar.

International Markets and Expanding His Reach

Fridayy reflected on the differences between U.S. and international audiences. Touring with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie in Europe opened his eyes to how diverse his fan base could be. “It’s crazy seeing 18-year-old white kids in Europe sing your lyrics word for word,” he said. This experience motivated him to continue expanding his reach globally. “It’s a whole other wave over there.”

What’s Next for Fridayy?

Fans won’t have to wait too long for more music from Fridayy. He teased that a new project is likely dropping at the top of next year. “I don’t want to rush it, but it’s coming soon,” he promised. While his current single “Bad In The Room”continues to gain traction, Fridayy hinted at more R&B vibes and potential crossover hits in the future.

As for his jewelry game? Fridayy has a keen eye. “I was already studying it before I got on,” he laughed, sharing that Philly’s Sean Jeweler is his go-to.
