Legendary hip hop star Biz Markie will be laid to rest tomorrow in New York, and the rapper’s service will be live-streamed on BET.
Rev. Al Sharpton is set to deliver the eulogy for the rap legend at the service that will be held at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts.
Hip hop artists and long-time friends of Biz like Fat Joe, LL Cool J, Big Daddy Kane, and others are expected to attend the final celebration of the rap legend who passed away on July 16th.
Sharpton sent out a tweet describing how the late rapper “touched the world with his infectious smile, amazing energy, and Hip-Hop hits.”
TMZ also reported that the service will have an open casket for Biz, who will be wearing a custom-made outfit courtesy of his long-time friend, fashion designer Dapper Dan.
Known for his top 40 hit, “Just A Friend” and his recurring role on “Yo Gaba Gaba”, he brightened every room he was in and every song he was on. The private event will take place at The Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts in Long Island. https://t.co/6lygtWt2DT
