Future Countersues Ciara, Calls Her Last Album A Flop

Things are getting messier and messier between Future and Ciara. The rapper has chosen to fire back at Ciara’s $15 million defamation suit and in his court docs, he has some choice things to say about her. 

If you recall, Ciara fired off a lawsuit against Future after he let off a Twitter rant about her and called her a “bitch.” She also claimed he defamed her in his music and when her legal team reached out to him, he refused to retract and apologize for his previous statements.

According to The Jasmine Brand, in Future’s countersuit he says Ciara has no legs to stand on. Even if he did defame her, she waited past the statute of limitations to defend herself. He also claims that Ciara is using this ordeal to pump up publicity for herself. He points out that her lawsuit has generated more publicity than any of his tweets did, so she’s technically damaging herself. 

Future also defends calling Ciara a “bitch,” saying that he didn’t mean it in a way that was lewd and disrespectful to women, but used it to explain her  overbearing, complaining or unpleasant attitude. He maintains that none of his  posts were false or defamatory and there was no malice involved. He says that this is nothing more than the natural reaction  of a father who wanted to see his son more frequently.

Future then goes for the ultimate drag by saying that Ciara’s career has been on the decline for the last 2-3 years, she isn’t winning any awards and her “Jackie” album, which featured her single “I Bet,” was a flop. In a nutshell, Ciara is doing this for media attention.
