Future and Metro Boomin are finally addressing their massive year and their issues with Drake.
In GQ’s recent printed Man of the Year edition, the pair spoke on Kendrick Lamar’s feature on “Like That” and the firestorm it created. Specifically, Lamar’s “F**k the ‘Big Three,’ it’s just ‘Big Me,’” bar. The “Big Three” refers to Drake, Lamar, and J. Cole. Future was not included in this trio, something that slightly bothered him. However, it doesn’t appear that Pluto was aware Lamar was going to take the shot at Drake and Cole on the record.
“Nobody cares what I think. That’s what was so f**ked up about the s**t. To the point where I’m so player that I ain’t even said anything to the public about how I feel about it. Like, why is everybody mad when he was talking about me on my song? So ya’ll just forgot about me, I ain’t part of this ‘Big Three.’ I’m nobody on my song, man. If I didn’t get mad, nobody should have gotten mad about it.”

Elsewhere in the conversation, Metro Boomin shares how he and Drake became enemies after years of working together. He confirmed once and for all that, the situation has nothing to do with a woman.
“Me and [Drake], we had a personal issue, and for the record, not over no girl or nothing silly like that. It was a personal issue that really hurt me and disappointed me,” Metro admitted. “But if you take all the rap entertainment out of it, it’s like, have you ever been real cool with somebody, and y’all fell out over something? It happens every day. It’s just regular s**t. This just happens to have an audience.”
It’s unknown what that situation was. Drake has not yet commented on this interview.
