Future has spent the past decade making some of the hottest hits on the radio, proving he’s a force to be reckoned with. Now the rapper is about to hop into his producing bag with Jacquees.
On an episode of The Kenny Burns Show on V-103, the R&B singer revealed Future would be handling his album when it comes to producing. Although Hendrix clearly delivers in the studio as a rapper, this isn’t his first rodeo as a producer. The ATL native’s first stint as an executive producer was for Kanye West’s Donda 2 album.
The self-proclaimed “King” of R&B’s upcoming project will come just two years after his latest album, King of R&B, debuted at N0. 20 on the Billboard chart. Radio personality Kenny Burns played Jacquee’s new single “Say Yea” which he recently performed at Wine Down Wednesday in Atlanta.
He took to Instagram to share the news, emphasizing his desire to fulfill his recent promise to fans. The artist is set to reveal songs from his new album at Essence Festival in July.
Handling a second album as an executive producer is just the start for Future. The Freebandz Boss just made history as the second rapper — and fifth artist overall — in history to simultaneously debut atop the billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100 thanks to his new album I Never Liked You and the hit single, “Wait For U,” featuring Drake and Nigerian singer Tems.
Burns also revealed how the R&B singer is “booked, blessed, and busy,” with multiple upcoming performances this summer. His next performance will be in Orlando on Saturday, June 18th.
Jacquees hinted at potentially going on tour this fall and is looking to have a certain R&B singer join him. When Burns asked who he’d like to go on tour with, the “B.E.D” singer said Summer Walker. “I think that’ll be dope. You get the ladies and the fellas. I feel like it’ll sell out every night,” he said.
Jacquees released his latest single, “Say Yea,” last Friday, and it’s expected to appear on the upcoming album.
