In a recent interview with “3rd Hour of Today,” Host of NBC’s America’s Got Talent competition show, Terry Crews, spoke on Gabrielle Union’s firing from the show following her claims and concerns about discrimination.
Terry claimed that in his time at AGT, he hasn’t experienced any racism stating, “I can’t speak for sexism because I’m not a woman, but I can speak on behalf of any racism comments. That was never my experience on ‘America’s Got Talent,’ in fact, it was the most diverse place I have ever been in my 20 years of entertainment. The top 10 acts were Asian, women, older, younger, black, white; it was everything in the gamut.”
Crews continued by adding, “Now I have to say this too. When you look at what the allegations were about, it was given by an unnamed source. It’s funny, because I believe you should listen to women, you should always believe women, so I asked my wife what I should do. She was like, first of all, if it’s coming from an unnamed source, because Gabrielle Union has not made any statement to this day about any of these allegations publicly.”
Speaking with US Weekly, Crews also allegedly addressed the incident stating, “It was the best experience I ever had in my life. When they talk about diversity, there was every bit of diversity on set, everywhere. I have never been in a more diverse place in 20 years of entertainment, so what can I say?”
Following Crew’s comments, fans began to Tweet Union supporting words of encouragement with one fan writing, “Nothing but love and support for you.@itsgabrielleu. We see you and appreciate you. Keep standing in your truth.”
Union responded to the fan’s sweet words, writing, “Thank u! Cuz girlllllll Truth telling, wanting change & having MULTIPLE witnesses who bravely came forward to let EVERYONE know I didn’t lie or exaggerate, really exposes those who enthusiastically will throw you under the bus, forgetting quickly who stepped up 4 THEIR truth.”
Union didn’t name any names, but the end of her tweet left fans assuming she was referring to when she supported him during his sexual assault allegations back in 2018. In the tweet, at the time, she wrote, “… Some people will never get it but not for a lack of info or 1st hand accounts, but due to willful ignorance & fear, they see themselves somewhere in the account #MeToo.”
Union continued by questioning Crew’s motives in response to another fan, “Why anyone would gleefully get up on TV and tell lies that NO ONE disputed… But we already know.”
“Can someone please ask abt what happens to all that diversity folks are talking about BEHIND THE SCENES. Like legit… where the hell is all that diversity in the production though homie? In the decision making ranks who control the fate of the diversity in front of the camera?” Union continued.
Union also addressed the fact that an agreement was made, for everyone to stay quiet until NBC completed an investigation regarding the incident writing, “Maaaaaan… We all agreed to let the investigation be completed before speaking, but if we doing this… ohhhhh baby let’s gooooooooooo!”

Sad. His comments were unnecessary and, now, I am looking at him with a side eye. Clout chasing.
