If you like Disney and “Game Of Thrones” you’re in for a treat because it has been confirmed that GOT writers will be signing on to work on one of the future #StarWars installments.
Disney chairman Bob Iger spoke at the MoffetNathanson Media & Communications, saying, “We did a deal with David Benioff and D.B Weiss, who are famous for Game of Thrones, and the next movie that we release will be theirs.”
According to a recently released schedule of upcoming Disney movies, it was indicated that Benioff and Weiss’ trilogy-starting film would hit theaters Dec. 16, 2022, three years after this December’s ”Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker.”
Reports from last year revealed that Benioff and Weiss would be creating a Star Wars story that was separate from the Skywalker lore. While some GOT fans will be excited about the collaboration, others are skeptical that the writers won’t be able to deliver what fans want after GOT’s last two episodes of its eighth received the worst ratings of the entire series.
One Twitter user responded to the news saying, “Just so you don’t have to parse my tweets: 1) Last night’s Game of Thrones was good television 2) It very was poorly written 3) Maybe the guys who poorly wrote one TV series and haven’t made other good movies shouldn’t blindly get a Star Wars trilogy.”
Do you think they can pull it off?
