Gayle King reportedly turned down a tell-all interview with daytime talk show host Wendy Williams.
Williams has officially separated from her husband Kevin Hunter after filing for a divorce back in April following weeks of speculation that Hunter was having an affair. As a result, according to Daily Mail, the 54-year-old wants to put her story out on the table and has been looking for a platform to share her side.
The host has reportedly reached out to several networks including OWN, ABC and NBC for a prime time spot. However, there’s one person she asked to interview with, who has reportedly firmly denied: Gayle King.
Daily Mail reports the CBS anchor feels the Williams’ drama is “a little too trashy for morning TV.” Despite King allegedly giving a hard no to the interview, King was reportedly “at the top of the list” in Williams’ choosing. Williams is currently in the process of divorcing Hunter, who allegedly just welcomed a child with his mistress.
