One of the parents of a student who attends a Georgia elementary school is now in the slammer for allegedly using pepper spraying on a bus full of kids.
This past Tuesday morning, 24 children were headed to Goodyear Elementary in Brunswick, Ga., when at some point, a parent boarded the bus and began discharging the pepper spray. Officials described the parent as “irate.” The parent was later identified as 29-year-old Shaquayle Cuyler.
The children ended up being transported to school on another bus after being treated by EMS, and the school notified parents about the incident, NBC News reports. The driver and school monitor were hospitalized. Cuyler was arrested at the scene.
She’s now being held at the Glynn County Detention Center on a $10,890 bail. She was booked on allegations of battery, criminal trespassing, cruelty to children, intentionally disrupting the operation of a school bus, reckless conduct and interference with government property, NBC News reports.
