An aspiring Georgia actress was fatally shot after her neighbor’s gun fired through their shared apartment wall. Apparently, the neighbor was loading it.
Gwinnett County Police identified the woman as Carlether Foley, 36, an aspiring actress with a handful of independent productions listed on her resume was found unresponsive by her son. She suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
Gwinnett Fire units responded to the scene after Foley’s son called 911. Police were alert, and it was confirmed that the victim’s death was due to a gunshot wound.
A bullet hole could be seen in the apartment wall, Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper.
Foley and her neighbor, Maxwell Williamson, 22, resided at the MAA McDaniel Farm apartments. Williamson was arrested on Sunday and faces involuntary manslaughter and reckless conduct charges.
The police report says Williamson was loading his gun when it inadvertently went off, Gwinnett police spokeswoman Hideshi Valle stated.
Williamson was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail. He remains there without bond.
