Gerren Taylor From BET’s Reality Show Baldwin Hills Has Died At 30

Over the weekend, several people were shocked to learn that model and actress Gerren Taylor had died at the age of 30.

Gerren Taylor, whose real name was Ashley Taylor Gerren, died in her sleep on April 11th, 2021.

At the age of 12, she began modeling when she was discovered by a talent scout and went on to become the youngest model ever signed by LA Models’ runway division.

Taylor rose to fame following her role on the BET reality show, Baldwin Hills, about the day in the life of Black teenagers in the affluent community in Los Angeles, and in the 2007 documentary, America is Beautiful.

Taylor also has a beautiful daughter who she featured on her personal Instagram.

After news of her death, emotional tributes poured in from fans and those who knew Gerren:

Gerren from the reality show Baldwin Hills on BET passed away in her sleep at the age of 30. I am speechless. Gerren was the girl who Oprah referred to as the 'mini Naomi [Campbell]' due to her modeling career. OMG.
