Gervonta Davis isn’t happy with how things ended in the match with Lamont Roach Jr., and he’s making it clear that the fight isn’t over.
Their WBA lightweight championship fight resulted in a majority draw, with two judges scoring it 114-114 and a third giving Davis a slight 115-113 edge. ESPN also had it 114-114.
One of the most bizarre moments of the fight came in the ninth round when Davis suddenly took a knee after getting hit with a jab. The referee didn’t call it a knockdown, but Davis later explained he went down because grease from his hair got in his eye. If the knockdown had counted, it could have went in Roach’s favor.
Now, both fighters are demanding a rematch and they’re not being shy about it on social media.
In a now-deleted tweet, Davis responded to a tweet where Roach insinuated he’s the real winner of the fight. Davis quote tweeted it, saying: “Your btch ass just happy you didn’t get knocked out… your dad was jumping up and down in the corner when y’all made it to the 12th rd. Foh.”

The tension didn’t stop there. Davis later tweeted, “This guy is faking,” to which Roach responded, “Now I’m faking cuz I responded to sumn said to me lol yea aite.”
With both fighters locked in and ready to run it back, this rematch is looking like a must-see event.
