In one of the most anticipated fights of the year, Gervonta “Tank” Davis and “King” Ryan Garcia will match up in a 12-round super fight for bragging rights of being the “King of the Sport.”
Leading up to the main event, the two undefeated champs had several heated exchanges during their final press conference, and Baller Alert had a front-row seat.
Both fighters are highly skilled and entered the fight with a large fanbase. In fact, social media has been a huge contributing factor as to why the two champs decided to make this fight official.
During the press conference, host and sportscaster Brian Custer mentioned how Davis and Garcia previously agreed that the winner would take home all the money; however, Garcia backed out of the deal, saying, “Even when I knock him out, I’m not gonna take the money from him.”
When Custer asked Davis how he felt about the “King” saying he’d “knock him out” he said “He’s delusional. Put the money up.” Garcia did not respond.
While two of boxing’s biggest names gathered with their coaches to take their final press conference photos, Tank mentions how Garcia’s brother is a “distraction.” This comes after Garcia’s brother threw antagonistic comments toward Davis during the press conference.
Garcia’s brother quickly responded, telling Davis, “You look scared. I promise you; you look scared. Stupid.”
The undefeated rivals square off at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, deadlining a SHOWTIME PPV® Production Of a Premier Boxing Champions Event.
