Jeffrey Epstein’s ex-lover Ghislaine Maxwell is set to propose a bond close to $30 million to get out of jail. She has also admitted that she’s a wife.
According to the New York Post, she hopes to get out of jail by Christmas. Maxwell will appear in court within the next few days.
Tech CEO Scott Borgerson is said to be Maxwell’s husband and will be the one putting up $25 million. Her brothers Kevin and Ian will put up the other portion.
Sources close to the couple say the husband is devasted that Maxwell has been in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center since the middle of the summer. She is being held on sex abuse charges.
Maxwell, 58, would like to be put on house arrest and has agreed to wear a monitoring bracelet. She’s agreed to waive her rights to request being extradited from the UK and France. She was denied bail back in July, and her defense team stated they were ready to request another bail hearing in a November letter.
Maxwell has pleaded not guilty to her six counts, which accused her of recruiting and grooming girls and young women, who were then abused by Epstein, the Post reported.
It’s unknown at this time when her bail hearing will take place.
