New York Giants fans and even some players may be rejoicing in the next few days, as it looks like Ben McAdoo may be getting the boot.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
According to ESPN, after nearly two years as head coach, McAdoo could be fired in the next 24 hours after Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders. The General Manager’s days may be numbered as well, but his firing is reportedly more indefinite than McAdoo’s.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Since Tom Coughlin’s departure, McAdoo and his decisions have been less than favorable. From the team being 0-8 in their own conference and 2-9 for the season to throwing his players under the bus, McAdoo has been the Giants’ worst nightmare. But, when the head coach benched starting quarterback, Eli Manning, that was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
According to sources, Giants owner, John Mara, said McAdoo’s decision to bench the team’s beloved quarterback, “highlighted his belief that McAdoo has lacked communication skills during his time as head coach.” In addition to the Manning situation, McAdoo suspended two players this season and ruined relationships with others.

Although McAdoo’s firing has not been confirmed, when asked if the head coach was safe for the remainder of the season, Mara said, “There are no guarantees in life.”
