Gilbert Arenas can breathe a sigh of relief knowing his thieving former assistant will be behind bars for a while.Â
John A. White, Gilbert’s former personal assistant,  was found guilty of 11 counts of wire fraud for transferring roughly $2.2 million from Gilbert’s bank accounts account, to his, between the years of 2008 and 2011. A federal judge in Orlando has now sentenced White to four years and nine months in prison for his crimes.Â
According to prosecutors, White used the money he stole from Gilbert Arenas to pay for his own personal expenses. While working as Arenas’ assistant for 6 years, White is accused of using the money on mortgage payments and the purchase of a Ferrari and a Range Rover.
The judge will decide at a later time how much restitution White should pay.
