Gilbert Arenas addressed rumors about his role in the NBA gambling investigation during Thursday’s episode of “Gil’s Arena.”

His comments came after FBI Director Kash Patel announced the arrests of over 30 people, including Portland coach Chauncey Billups and Miami Heat star Terry Rozier, for sports betting and poker-related crimes.
Arenas joked about the speculation by carrying a paper bag labeled “Informant Lunch” and said, “Informant? Nah nah nah, this is lunch… This is my lunch, man. I didn’t get to eat it over there, man. I was talking too much.”

He criticized ESPN reporter Rachel Nichols for suggesting he might have cooperated with authorities.
“I’m good for all the trolling. That’s cool, but Rachel Nichols is foul… She used my video, and she actually wrote that I possibly snitched,” Arenas said.
Arenas denied any involvement in the scandal.
“Two of them n***as is gambling on NBA. One is throwing poker games and robbing his friends. It ain’t got s**t to do with me,” he said.
He also poked fun at media exaggeration, saying, “I see the word ‘mafia,’ but the only faces I see are negroes…International crime bosses: Blacks.”
On the dangers of organized crime, he added, “I watch enough movies to know the last group you want to snitch on is the mafia. I watch Dateline. They still ain’t found people since 1947. I like my YouTubing career.”
These remarks follow Arenas’ July 2025 arrest in Los Angeles for allegedly running an illegal gambling operation.
At the time, he jokingly referenced “snitching” on a livestream but later clarified, “I had nothing to do” with the case.
