Scott Foster made headlines recently for his ongoing feud with Chris Paul, and once again, the personal vendetta is glaring as he ejected Chris Paul in a recent game against the Suns. Chris was seen calling Scott a few four-letter words out of frustration.
Gilbert Arenas and his co-host Josiah Johnson gave insight into the personal beef between Scott and Chris on the latest episode of their podcast “Gil’s Arena.” Both were able to explain the events that have transpired in the past to create this personal tension. Josiah mentioned that it has bled over into their personal lives as well.
“The situation was little Chris was playing in the tunnel. Scott Foster, in the car with the other refs rolls up to him, honks the horn at him, and yells ‘get the f*@$ out the way and some other expletives to a little kid. CP3 found out about it and naturally was not too happy about that,” the former UCLA Bruin mentioned.
Chris didn’t appreciate the expletives shouted at his son. Nobody would. Scott had not been officiating Chris’s games for a considerable period, but when the NBA Finals arrived, the noticeable contrast in officiating became apparent. Gilbert remarked on his recollection of how the 2021 series unfolded.
“Scott Foster was not allowed to referee his games for a long time. All of a sudden, when they played against the Bucks in the finals, they were up 2-0. They brought in Scott… they lost by 20,” Arenas mentioned about the 2021 NBA Finals. Chris has had the lone opportunity to receive his first NBA Finals victory.
In that game, Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns inevitably lost the series to the Milwaukee Bucks.
