Gizelle Bryant is coming to the defense of her ex-husband’s new wife, offering a mature perspective on the dress debate that has swept social media.

During a recent episode of her “Reasonably Shady” podcast with pal Robyn Dixon, the topic of Dr. Karri Turner Bryant’s viral gala gown came up. Pastor Jamal Bryant has spent days defending his wife’s ensemble, which many deemed inappropriate for the wife of a minister. Once a former First Lady herself, Gizelle agreed that the discourse was uncalled for.
“It was fine,” the “Real Housewives of Potomac” star said regarding the dress, though she felt that Pastor Bryant should have ignored the negative remarks altogether.
“People gon’ have their commentary… you would think you would not feed into something, pastor… let’s just not feed into it. That’s when you make it unnecessarily bigger than it is,” she explained.
Pastor Bryant addressed the chatter during a Sunday sermon. While Gizelle sees no issue with him standing by Dr. Karri, she also noted that the pulpit wasn’t the proper place to address the criticism.
