The family of one of the victims who died at a GloRilla and Finesse2tymes concert in Rochester announced that they intend to sue, claiming the deaths were avoidable.
Michelle, the sister of victim Brandy Miller, told TMZ that in addition to Glo and Finesse2tymes, the family intends to sue the promoter and the venue. Another family member was at the concert, and he claims the event was hectic from the beginning.
Michelle told the outlet they are in the process of retaining an attorney and have spoken to several. They are looking to hire someone high profile and have no plans on “backing down.”
Miller was one of three victims of the stampede that occurred at the Main Street Armory earlier this month. Neither Glo nor Finesse2tymes was still at the venue when the incident happened, and both have expressed remorse over what happened.
“I’m just now hearing about what happened wtf,” GloRilla wrote on Twitter. In a follow-up tweet, she wrote that she was “devastated” and heartbroken” over what took place and that she was praying for the victims and their families.
Finesse2tymes recently spoke with TMZ and told the outlet that he didn’t believe he would be blamed for the crowd surge and wasn’t concerned about litigation. After initially catching flack for expressing that he felt people were using the situation to bring him down, he acknowledged the severity of the situation.
“But as far as the situation in New York, condolences to the family and the people who was injured,” he said. “I think it was a situation where someone fell, and people started running. Things got out of control, and innocent people got hurt.”
