The GoFundMe campaign belonging to “Gorilla Glue Girl” Tessica Brown is now under investigation for allegations of fraudulent activity.

Brown, who went viral after making a TikTok video where she described putting the strong Gorilla Glue adhesive in her hair, says that the GoFundMe she setup is being looked into and cannot withdraw any funds from it. Brown was looking to donate the funds that the campaign collected.

“They won’t even release it to me because that many people have called and said it was a fraudulent account,” Brown said during a Zoom interview with The Post on Wednesday.

Brown received free surgery from Dr. Obeng in California, who successfully removed the adhesive. The woman wanted to pay it forward by donating to his organization, “Restore Worldwide” which travels overseas to perform constructive surgeries on people in developing countries who cannot afford the procedures.

“I’m like we can donate to Dr. Obeng… and the rest of that I’m going to donate it to three families in St. Bernard Parish,” Brown said, referencing the famed plastic surgeon and her south Louisiana hometown.

The woman claims that she established the GoFundMe to assist her with medical bills and wigs. She initially only asked for $1,500. However, the outpouring of support gained the campaign over $23,000. Now, due to many calls to the company claiming that the account was fraudulent, Brown will not be able to access the account to help out others in need.

“That’s going to be pretty upsetting because who are y’all to say, you know, this was a fraudulent account? For one, Dr. Obeng brought me from St. Bernard Parish to Hollywood, like I seen the sign, to take this out of my head like this man didn’t have to do none of this.”

A GoFundMe spokesperson said in a statement to The Post that they “are in touch” with Brown and “working with her on the withdrawal of funds.”

“Prior to the withdrawal, she must clearly state on the campaign page how she intends to use the funds,” the spokesperson confirmed.

While Brown initially garnered an outpouring of support, once she secured a management team and began to sell merchandise based on her ordeal, many people who once supported her began to speculate that the woman pulled off the entire stunt for clout.
