Greta Thunberg, the 17-year-old environmental activist, is coming to your television screens. BBC Studios has announced that it is debuting a TV series following the life and global climate campaigning of the teen as she enters into adulthood. BBC Studios’ science unit will produce the show.
Executive producer Rob Liddell confirmed the news, saying, “to be able to do this with Greta is an extraordinary privilege, getting an inside view on what it’s like being a global icon.”
While the details of the series are scarce, environmental experts will also be present on the show to back the teen’s efforts with scientific facts.
Thunberg’s journey is also being documented in the upcoming Hulu documentary, “Greta,” which also showcases her early school strike in Stockholm to her efforts to parliaments and international protests.
