Grimes had no idea her 4-year-old son, X Æ A-Xii, was at the White House—until a social media user pointed it out.
The singer, who shares X Æ A-Xii with billionaire Elon Musk, discovered the news after a post on X (formerly Twitter) showed their son in the Oval Office alongside his father. Grimes quickly responded online, making it clear that she was unaware of the visit.
“He should not be in public like this,” she wrote. “I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”

The surprising visit took place on Tuesday, Feb. 11, when Musk, brought X Æ A-Xii along to witnessTrump sign an executive order expanding the power of the Department of Government Efficiency. Photos showed the child perched on Musk’s shoulders, interacting with Trump, and at one point, allegedly telling Trump to “shut his mouth.”
