A group of high school students in Georgia saved a woman who had just gotten into a car crash.
This past Friday, six Rome High School students who also play for their school’s football team witnessed a vehicular collision and jumped to save a 50-year-old female victim. Fox News reports a silver car was hit after another car pulled out in front of it.
After the crash, smoke could be seen coming out from the car’s hood. The woman was stuck inside after the car’s door was jammed from the crash. That’s when Cesar Parker, Treyvon Adams, Antwiion Carey, Messiah Daniels, Tyson Brown and Alto Moore came into help.
“We all knew we had to get her out before something worse would happen,” said Adams. The entire incident was captured on the school’s surveillance cameras.
“When I saw the video I was like, oh my gosh, these kids really did run right into danger and have a sensational event where they helped a lady out of a car that could have caught fire,” Coach John Reid told Fox 5 Atlanta, Fox News reports.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was treated for cuts and bruises. She’s expected to recover fully.
