A group of what appears to be neo-Nazis were seen throwing up a “hail Hitler” Nazi salute in support of Kanye “Ye” West’s recent remarks about the Jewish community.
As we’ve all seen from the January 6 U.S. Capitol riot, giving negativity a platform can incite violence that impacts various groups of people, especially communities of color and religious groups of people. West’s recent demonstrative words toward the Jewish community have created and revealed followers who stand by racist and antisemitic ideologies.
This past Saturday, a photo of a group of people throwing up the “hail Hitler” arm gesture circulated online. The group was pictured on an overpass in Los Angeles; the individuals appear to be white men and one white woman. The group pinned banners that read “HONK IF YOU KNOW,” “KANYE IS RIGHT ABOUT THE JEWS,” and one of the banners read “REV. 3:9” and “JOHN 8:99” for the Bible scriptures.
While West has apologized for hurting people, he said he doesn’t regret his words.
On Sunday, Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón called out the group, saying racism needs to be removed from the country.
“We cannot tolerate the #AntiSemitism that was on full display today [Saturday] on an LA Fwy. #WhiteSupremacy is a societal cancer that must be excised. This message is dangerous & cannot be normalized. I stand with the Jewish community in condemning this disgusting behavior,” said Gascón.
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti also condemned the group’s actions.
“We condemn this weekend’s anti-Semitic incidents. Jewish Angelenos should always feel safe. There is no place for discrimination or prejudice in Los Angeles. And we will never back down from the fight to expose and eliminate it,” said Garcetti on Twitter.

Pretty sure there is no John 8:99
I believe it may be “8:44” that you should have found in your research
