As the legal drama between Gucci Mane and his baby mama continues, the woman is now admitting she is on welfare and living in Section 8 while her baby daddy flexes on the ‘gram.
During a hearing held this week, Sheena Evans detailed her financial situation as part of her longstanding legal battle against Gucci for an increase in child support. In a video obtained by The Blast, Evans’ lawyer explained the situation to the judge, claiming her client lives in Section 8 housing, receives government assistance and food stamps, and is also on Medicaid, all while her baby daddy rakes in millions and boasts about it on the ‘gram.
Last summer, Evans filed a lawsuit against the rapper, claiming he’d been making a lot more than he did back in 2011 when the two agreed to a $2,026 monthly child support payment. In the docs obtained by the publication, Evans said upon his release from prison and his catapult to mainstream fame, Gucci dropped thousands on jewelry, a million on his wedding, and even more to support his lavish lifestyle, proving that he makes more than enough to up the monthly payment to $20k for their 11-year-old son, Keitheon.
However, in response, Gucci denied Evans’ claims, saying his income hadn’t changed much since 2011. In addition to that, he said he’d already been paying the health and medical expenses for their son, so an increase shouldn’t be necessary. But, Evans begs to differ.
In the meantime, the case is ongoing, as a judge has yet to rule.
