For the last seven months, Gucci Mane’s baby mama, Sheena Evans, has been demanding an increase in child support, just enough to reflect the luxurious lifestyle he’s living on the ‘Gram.
But, after the rapper’s longstanding refusal and legal rebuttals, Evans wants him arrested for his failure to cough up cash in the case.
In Evans’ initial docs, she asked a judge to increase Gucci’s $2,026.49 monthly child support payment, which he was ordered to pay in a 2011 judgment, to $20,000 per month. As part of her defense, she said her ex and baby daddy had “received a significant increase in income” and had “thrived financially” since his 2016 release from jail.
In fact, she even highlighted the rapper’s $1.7 million wedding to Keyshia Ka’oir, which was televised in a 10-part BET special, “Gucci Mane and Keyshia Ka’oir: The Mane Event.” Elsewhere in her suit, she asked Mane to cover the cost for their son’s medical expenses and caregiver, which would give her the opportunity to work or go to school.
Now, since the rapper has refused to cooperate, in turning over the appropriate documents to move forward and pay her legal fees, Evans and her lawyers are demanding he be jailed until he “purges himself of his contempt.”
In Evans’ new motion for sanctions, she says the rapper was ordered to pay $2,495 to cover the cost of her legal fees, but he has failed to do so.
“Not only has the Respondent demonstrated that he has no concern for the authority of this court or for the deadlines set by this Court, Respondent has also exhibited an alarming disregard of the consequences of his contemptuous behavior,” Evans’ attorney said, calling Gucci’s failure to pay, “outrageous and egregious.”
“He could care less,” the lawyer said.
