The Summer of 2013 is dying down and Fall is on it’s way in. If you’re like many people your goal to have the perfect beach body never happened. You probably gave yourself 2 weeks to lose 20 lbs, tried every diet and weight loss supplement on the market, and still didn’t get the results you wanted. Maybe you just gave up out of frustration or , if you’re anything like me, had a hard time giving up your favorite food and drinks. Either way, something happened along the line and you didn’t reach your goal for this Summer. You’re probably saying now that you’ll try again next year ,but why wait til next year?
There’s over 200 days left until Summer 2014, this gives you over 200 days to get into the shape of your life and get the body of your dreams. The earlier you start the more room you have for trial and error. You don’t have to feel guilty about having that piece of cheesecake, because you’re not rushing to lose a ton of weight in a short period of time. More time means you can learn what your body likes or dislike, what fitness classes and workout schedules works best for you, try out new recipes and most importantly start a new healthy lifestyle.
Here are some things you will need before you embark on this journey:
1. Water! And Lots of it!!– Your body needs water to keep hydrated and flush toxins out. It’s also great for you hair and skin. Aim for a gallon a day.
2. A Somewhat Clean Diet- If you’re anything like me, you can’t live without your sauces, dressing, the occasional fast food burger, and vodka! You can still have those things but just in moderation. If your diet is clean and healthy 90% of the time, you don’t have to feel bad about having one wild night of pigging out and binge drinking. Just don’t make it a habit. Weight loss is 70% diet and Abs are made in the kitchen.
3. Patience– you won’t drop 20 lbs in 5 days, and if you do I can almost promise you it won’t be permanent. Anything good takes time and hard work. Â Think of it like a plant. It takes weeks of watering, sunlight, and maintenance for it to blossom and grow healthy and strong. It’s the same with your body. It’s going to take a few weeks, or months of dieting and exercise for you to transform into the strong healthy person you always wanted to be. The changes that you see after a while will excite you and motivate you to keep going, but you just have to be patient! Rome wasn’t built in a day.
I’m here to let all you ladies know that YOU CAN DO IT!!! We all are going to reach our goals for next year. We’ve all fell off, gave up, or gave in, but not this time. This time there’s no giving up or falling off. We will stick to our workout schedule, we will stick to our diets, we will step out onto the beaches of Miami in our thong bikini showing off our tight, firm, Ballerific body! We got this!!! Now who’s with me?!
