Music lovers and enthusiasts will enjoy the $1.5 billion expansion to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in South Florida. Guests will be able to stay in a hotel that’s shaped like a giant body of a guitar. The structure is lit with neon lights and can be seen from the air by passengers coming to the nearby Fort Lauderdale International airport. The structure itself is made of aqua-glass tones that reflect sunlight during the day. Inside, you won’t be able to recognize that you’re inside of a massive guitar, but you will be awed by the memorabilia and iconic ode to rock and roll that has become synonymous with the Hard Rock brand.
The 450 ft. the guitar-shaped hotel has 34 floors and 638 guest rooms. Prices can range anywhere from $189 for deluxe rooms without a pool view to $989 for the 1,100 sq.ft. platinum king suite. In addition, guest pay a $25 per day resort fee and can access the restaurants, bars, nightclubs, spa, and entertainment venue on the grounds. Complimentary guitar rentals are even available to guests who want to channel their inner musician. Maroon 5 is scheduled to perform at the Hard Rock Live inaugural show and they opened the Oasis Tower, which features an additional 168 rooms where guests can swim up to.
Artist, Laurence Gartel whose work is featured in the hotel gave his initial impression of the hotel, “I think it’s unbelievable. It’s fun; it’s different; it’s exciting; it’s pop culture. It’s all the things I think make art and architecture enjoyable.”
