Actress Gwenyth Paltrow’s Goop online store features a new candle scent, one could call “the $75 p**sy”. However, Gwen’s company is currently selling the new votive for $75, but it’s actually called “This Smells Like My Vagina,” according to Goop’s online store website.
Per the product description, the candle, made by artisanal fragrance brand Heretic, “started as a joke” between Paltrow and perfumer Douglas Little while they were collaborating on a fragrance together. During a testing of scents, Paltrow reportedly yelled, “Uhhh..this smells like a vagina,” and so came the name.
The candle’s scent is described to contain a “blend of geranium, citrusy bergamot, and cedar absolutes juxtaposed with Damask rose and ambrette seed.”
According to the company website, although the duo didn’t end up bottling the scent they described as “funny, gorgeous, sexy, and beautifully unexpected scent” into a perfume, they did think it would be “perfect as a candle,” the description read. A “test run” for the candle was done during the In Goop Health summit, and “it sold out within hours.”
According to People, Paltrow’s lifestyle brand is set to launch a six-episode series on Netflix called The Goop Lab, which will feature the star and her team exploring unfamiliar health treatments. The series premiers on January 24.
