In celebration of Lifetime’s 30th anniversary, the network will premiere 50 new movies between May and the end of the year. One film to keep an eye out for is about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace will follow the husband and wife’s journey following their widely-talked about decision to leave the palace and renounce their royal titles after the birth of their son Archie. The script is written by Scarlett Lacey, and the film is executively produced by Merideth Finn and Michele Weiss, according to Shadow and Act.
Back in 2018, Lifetime premiered Harry & Meghan: The Royal Love Story starring Parisa Fitz Henley documenting when the couple first met and the beginning of their relationship. A second movie Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance was released in 2019, starring Tiffany Smith.
“The legacy of Lifetime Original Movies is undeniable, as we celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the pop culture phenomenon this year,” Amy Winter, EVP, Head of Programming for Lifetime and LMN said in a statement. “With everyone’s lives radically shifted in the past weeks, what has remained constant is Lifetime’s ability to deliver top-quality movie premieres like The Clark Sisters to our audiences and provide them some much-needed entertainment and escape. With over 50 more titles to debut between now and the end of the year, our storytelling ability is further strengthened by the incredible talent partners we have lined up.”
