Yesterday the NBA Player’s Association and the NBA sat down for an 11-hour meeting to discuss labor negotiations. Although no one has opened up about whether a deal has truly been reached and what will happen to the league and players financially the NBA deputy commissioner is confident that if all goes well things will lead to a 72 game schedule which will begin on December 15th and push the playoff’s back a week. Something is better than nothing and at least we’d be getting a majority of a season.Â

This may work out for players as well. Besides having their jobs back, players will be paid a pro-rated amount this year depending on how many games are lost. Only losing ten games means quite a bit of money for the players. I hope this will help push negotiations and get my NBA back!
