The trailer for #JordanPeele’s new HBO series “Lovecraft Country” has been released.

When it comes to a Jordan Peele production, we’re never let down. Peele’s latest project, “Lovecraft Country,” has just dropped its first look into the series, which is executive produced by Peele and J.J. Abrams. The show was written and created by #MishaGreen, who also created and produced the hit show “Underground.” In the new series, Green is reunited with “Underground” star #JurneeSmollettBell, who also starred as the lead in the former WGN America series. Green adapted “Lovecraft Country” from Matt Ruff’s fantasy horror novel about life during the Jim Crow era, ET Online reports.

In the trailer, viewers meet “Atticus Freeman,” played by #JonathanMajors, who teams up with his friend  “Letitia Dandridge” (Smollett-Bell) and “Uncle George Black,” who is portrayed by CourtneyBVance. The group travels across the U.S. during the 1950s Jim Crow era on a mission to find Freeman’s missing father, who will be played by #MichaelKWilliams. The crew is up against the odds of racism but find that they are also battling a supernatural foe.

Other cast members of the show include #AunjanueEllis, who plays Freeman’s aunt; #WunmiMosaku, who stars as Letitia’s sister; #AbbeyLee, who will play “Christina Braithwhite;” #JamieChung will play “Ji-Ah; Erica Tazel” and #TonyGoldwyn who will play as “Samuel Braithwhite.”

A release date for the series has not been announced, but ET Online reports it is expected to debut in August.
