The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City wrapped last week with a lackluster season. One of the dullest storylines was Heather Gay‘s.
Towards the end of the season, Gay got a black eye on a girls’ trip in San Diego, with many speculating it was someone on the cast– convict Jen Shah. All in all, Gay never revealed how she got the black eye claiming she was black-out drunk and would be embarrassed to tell everyone.
Now she is admitting that the storyline didn’t play out as well as she thought.
In an interview with Interview Magazine, she talked about the black eye, “I got drunk and woke up with a black eye. … The truth is, I woke up on reality television with a giant massive black eye. Not face down in a cactus or anywhere that it could be explainable.”
She then referred to the black eye as “one of those Housewives anomalies that did not play out well on television.”
The “Bad Mormon: A Memoir” author added, “Especially when it happened a year ago and we had to keep mum about it for this long. … But I don’t know how to make sense of it for the viewer without ruining the magic of reality television. We don’t control the edit, and we can’t really make sense of everything.”
RHOSLC fans might never know what happened to Gay’s eye.
