Ok, pickle lovers, Heinz is answering your prayers. Starting next year, the condiment brand will release pickle-flavored ketchup for hot dogs and burgers to meet the growing demand for dill-flavored products, the company announced Monday.
“Increased desire for tasty, yet unexpected condiments has served as our innovation north star for the last several years,” said Katie Peterson, Director of Heinz Innovation at Kraft Heinz.
“The current pickle craze in America mirrors the irrational love Heinz fans have for the brand, so it only made sense for our newest ketchup to blend these two beloved tastes together,” Peterson said. The company found that 73% of Americans love pickles, USA Today reported.
The release of the unique condiment has already hit some stores and will be launched in more markets later this year and early next.
Priced at $3.99 per bottle, the ketchup will be a permanent part of Heinz.
