High bacteria levels have been seen in four beaches in Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health has warned about high bacteria levels in ocean waters. According to CBS L.A., high bacteria levels have been found at Mother’s Beach in Marina del Rey, Ballona Creek at Dockweiler State Beach, Inner Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro, and Malibu Lagoon at Surfrider Beach.
The bacteria levels reportedly exceeded health standards. Santa Monica Pier was previously flagged with the same warning.
There are no details on what type of bacteria is being found. But officials are advising beachgoers to stay safe if they plan to surf or swim in the waters.
