Hillary Clinton may give the American people an opportunity to redeem themselves after the unexpected ending to the botched 2016 presidential election.
Over the weekend, Mrs. Clinton sat down with Recode’s Kara Swisher to talk all things politics, including a potential 2020 bid. Initially, when asked about the possibility, Clinton provided a stern, “no,” but paused, before saying, “no” again before ultimately leaving the door open to another bid.
“Well, I’d like to be president,” she said on Friday in New York. “I think, hopefully, when we have a Democrat in the Oval Office in January of 2021, there’s going to be so much work to be done.”
“The work would be work that I feel very well prepared for, having been at the Senate for eight years, having been a diplomat in the State Department, and it’s just going to be a lot of heavy lifting,” Clinton added, suggesting Trump has done a lot of damage to the international state of the country. But, when asked if she would be the one to right the wrongs of the Trump administration, she said, “I have no idea….I’m not even going to think about it until after we get through this November 6th election about what’s going to happen after that.”
Would you be here for another Hillary Clinton presidential campaign?
