Hillary Clinton Will Be Joining Columbia University As A Global Affairs Professor

Columbia University announces Hillary Clinton will be joining the school as a new professor.

On Thursday, Columbia shared some interesting news about the future of the university and the former Secretary of State.

Starting this fall, Clinton will be serving as a professor of practice at the School of International and Public Affairs as well as a presidential fellow at Columbia World Projects.

Columbia president Lee Bollinger gave a speech about the newest staff member and noted her experience in public service.

“Given her extraordinary talents and capacities together with her singular life experiences, Hillary Clinton is unique, and, most importantly, exceptional in what she can bring to the University’s missions of research and teaching, along with public service and engagement for the public good,” Bollinger says.

Clinton’s fellow work will include her striving to renew democracy and to engage women and the youth. In a statement, Clinton said she’s excited to work with Columbia to educate the “next generation of U.S. and global policy leaders” and help shed a light at the university on global issues.
