A Georgia homeowner made a gruesome discovery when he returned home and found the remains of a 21-year-old intruder who attempted to break into his home.
The homeowner, who asked not to be identified, found the body of 21-year-old Alex Binyam Abraha on his front porch on the morning of September 24.
Abraha was reportedly mauled to death by the homeowner’s two Pitbulls while trying to break into the home.
Authorities said Abraha successfully breached the two-bedroom house in a rural area of Newnan the night before and was surprised by the two pit bulls inside the home. Â
The sheriff’s department initially thought Abraha’s death was a murder, but the medical examiner determined the man died from injuries sustained during the vicious dog attack.
The county’s Department of Corrections seized both dogs. Their fate was not immediately clear.Â
The homeowner will not face charges related to Abraha’s death.
